The club has a relatively new active rock climbing contingent. During the Summer we climb outdoors in the South West region. The main climbing areas near Cork city are the Old Head of Kinsale (by permission), Knockadoon near Youghal, Ardmore Co. Waterford, and Seven Heads near Timoleague. Further away areas include The Gap of Dunlow and Dingle in Co Kerry, Ballykeefe in Co. Kilkenny and The Burren, Co. Clare.

In Winter and in bad weather indoor climbing takes place at the UCC Mardyke Arena Climbing wall (entrance fee required) and St. Colman's Community College climbing wall in Midleton is also nearby (membership and entrance fee required).
